Clackmannanshire Council Sustainability Case Study
While living in Dollar, Clackmannanshire, then Europe’s smallest local authority, ESS’s Director Paul Gill was commissioned by the Council’s Sustainability Officer (now SEPA’s Science and Strategy Unit Manage), Neal Deasley to externally validate his Sustainability Assessment of Clackmannanshire Council’s policies and activities, and subsequently facilitated a Workshop on Sustainability Indicators for senior council officers in preparation for their Local Agenda 21 Sustainable Development Strategy.
East Dunbartonshire Council Sustainability Case Study
ESS was contracted by East Dunbartonshire Council to provide advice on the sustainability content of the council’s policies and activities. Subsequently ESS facilitated a workshop to develop sustainability indicators for East Dunbartonshire Council, resulting in the report Towards Targets and Indicators. An indication of the success of ESS’s intervention in East Dunbartonshire is the creation of full-time and dedicated sustainability posts within the council, and the leadership of the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) Sustainable Scotland Network, by East Dunbartonshire Council staff.
East Lothian Council Sustainability Case Study
ESS were commissioned by East Lothian Council to validate the Environmental Strategy for East Lothian Council and to provide advice on integration of sustainable development within their Community Planning process, with the resulting report being submitted to central UK Government.
